Dr. Kessler specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss in both the adult and pediatric patient populations. He is an expert in hearing rehabilitation, with a specialty in cochlear implants and in the fitting of advanced digital hearing systems.
Aside from his responsibilities to his patients and the practice, Dr. Kessler is an adjunct clinical instructor for The University of Connecticut, where he teaches a course to the doctoral students each year on cochlear implants and supervises students in his clinic. Dr. Kessler holds a doctorate in clinical audiology from The Arizona School of Health Sciences. Prior to completing his doctorate, he did graduate work at The University of Connecticut, as well as received a master’s degree in audiology from The University of Cincinnati and a bachelor’s degree from The University of Buffalo. Currently, Dr. Kessler serves as an editor for two online websites — Healthy Hearing, a website designed to serve the educational needs of the hearing-impaired consumer, and Audiology Online, a website for advancing the educational needs of other audiologists and hearing care professionals.
Dr. Kessler is certified by both the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. He is a member of many state and local hearing health care associations, and he was recently named an Academy Scholar by the American Academy of Audiology for his continued educational advancement.
