Dr. Vining graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from College of the Holy Cross. She received her Medical Degree from Yale University and then went on to the Yale University School of Medicine where she completed her internship in General Surgery and residency in Otolaryngology. She further dedicated herself to the specialty by completing a fellowship in Rhinology and Sinus at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Vining has held Academic Appointments at both Yale University School of Medicine (Clinical Instructor-Otolaryngology) and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (Lecturer, Department of Otorhinolaryngology). She is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology as well as being a Diplomat, National Board of Medical Examiners. She is a member in leadership positions with the American Rhinologic Society and the Connecticut Ear, Nose and Throat Society.
Dr. Vining specializes in the treatment of sinus conditions and is regarded professionally as an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of sinus disorders. She lectures frequently at specialty conferences, most notably on Endoscopic Sinus Surgery.
